Tip #247
Perfect Your Forehand Loop
The forehand loop is one of the most powerful offensive strokes in table tennis. To execute it properly, start by positioning yourself about an arm’s length from the table. As the ball approaches, bend your knees and rotate your hips and shoulders back. Brush up and forward on the ball with a closed racket angle, generating topspin. The key is to use your entire body, not just your arm—transfer your weight from your back foot to your front foot as you stroke through the ball.

Pro Tip
Practice shadow strokes in front of a mirror to perfect your form before hitting actual balls. Focus on maintaining a smooth, fluid motion throughout the entire stroke.
